Grilled Pound Cake with Brown Sugar Macerated Berries

Cake… on a grill?! This recipe was developed entirely by accident, and we couldn’t be more excited about it! We had forgotten to buy granulated sugar, but had brown sugar on hand. If you’ve never used brown sugar to macerate berries before, get ready for a sweet and caramel-y treat!

Tip: This Red, White, and Blue dessert is super simple and perfect for a 4th of July Party or all year long!




  1. Prepare Hasty Bake for grilling.
  2. Place sliced strawberries, blueberries, and brown sugar in a bowl and stir to combine. Allow to macerate while you grill the pound cake.
  3. Grill both angles on both sides of the pound cake to achieve an X pattern. Remove from grill and let cool slightly before serving.
  4. Serve grilled pound cake topped with caramel berry mixture and enjoy!
