Hasty Bake Grilled Pizza

No other grill on the market is as versatile as a Hasty Bake, and this delicious pizza recipe that we made in partnership with @BamaQTV showcases it perfectly. Smoky, wood-fired goodness, broiled under live coals will take your homemade pizza game to a whole new level.

Ingredients

  • Pizza crust (either pre cooked or raw dough)
  • Favorite tomato sauce
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 lb. Italian Sausage
  • Sliced mushrooms
  • Colorful bell peppers
  • Pepperoni
  • Favorite seasoning
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. If cooking dough from raw, par cook on pizza screen or stone until 70% cooked.
  2. Remove and let cool slightly.
  3. Rub sauce on top.
  4. Top with cheese, mushrooms, pepperonis, peppers, sausage and any other favorite toppings or seasonings.
  5. Rub crust with olive oil and season as well.
  6. Lightly drizzle toppings with olive oil.
  7. Place in top of Hasty Bake grill set in the “bake” position at 400 degrees.
  8. Check bottom of crust frequently and remove when it’s golden brown.
  9. Raise firebox up to the “sear” position and with a heavily-gloved hand, shake the firebox to remove any loose charcoal.
  10. Place a heat deflector on top of the ash pan and place your pizza (on it’s screen or stone) directly onto the heat shield.
  11. Lower your firebox down until its sitting 2-3” above the pizza.
  12. Broil your pizza, turning frequently until you have the desired amount of browned cheese and crust char.
  13. Remove, let cool slightly, slice and enjoy!
